The educational system in the Republic of Croatia consists of the following (see also diagram below):

Validation of foreign elementary and secondary school qualifications
Foreign education qualifications of primary or secondary education are recognized by the Ministry of Science,
Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, and there is a formal procedure of validation. Details can be found on the
Ministry's website. (see also diagram below)

Organized pre-school care
There is a large number of public and private preschool institutions in Croatia. Some of the international schools listed below also have preschool programs.
Majority of the public preschool institutions have lengthy waiting lists, therefore inquiries about placements should be made directly and as soon as possible. Several private international kindergartens and playrooms (all located in Zagreb) are listed here.
